Re: The Company That "Leaked" Switch 2 Is Being Sued By Nintendo

@Jester676 Which developers did this prior to the official announcement? And it's butt hurt by the way.

@Wilforce Read the wording of the lawsuit, it's not about the leaks but what is actionable against their trademarks. Also there is a difference between users of Discord/4Chan/Twitter and an accessory manufacturer making false claims (which as the article has already stated, Genki has admitted to) and infringing on trademark to boost their business.

In short, these are the facts of the situation. Company A feels they have grounds to take action against Company B - that's it. They are free to do so, this is the process and the outcome of this process is up to the courts who are impartial.

@Jester676 …that’s correct. They’ve started a lawsuit. Who would think otherwise? You asked about sales figures, this is about brand protection.

@Wilforce The issue is stated in the lawsuit. Genki will be single-handily responsible for damages (if the case goes that way) because they took the action they did. Who else would be responsible?

@Jester676 This article and the information about the lawsuit do not mention sales figures, because that’s not what this about.

Nintendo believe Genki “used Nintendo's trademarks and trade dress in connection with the marketing of its business and its unauthorized third-party accessories, in violation of Nintendo's rights in those marks”. Which sounds fair enough.

Re: Banjo-Kazooie Composer Explains Why He Thinks Another Game Is Unlikely

Basing sales projections on the social media followers of the original games composer is one way to go. The project just needs to be scaled correctly and given to the right team.

Microsoft, send an email to [email protected] and see what you can work out. Heck, you might even be able to charge $80 for the finished game! I'd buy it anyway. Please. Please let me buy it! I want it! It's been so long...

Re: Turok Receives A New Update On Switch, Here Are The Full Patch Notes

@AhabSpampurse Ha! Turok forced me to get a Memory Pak too! The scars from the SNES and early N64 days are still fresh, probably why MKW doesn’t seem too bad if I get the same out of it I did with MK8.

Saying that, Toys R Us did Goldeneye for £34.99 on launch day and as me and a particular friend still play it, only workout to be about £1.50 a year so far!
